Tim Cape, our composer in residence, brings us on a musical escapade tonight which includes 'Soother', his humorous theatrical insight into the mind of a thirty-something and his habit of playing games on his phone. Performed by four multi-talented members of the international ensemble Soundinitiative (cello, piano, clarinet, violin, percussion, voice, movement), with narration by the composer himself, this original piece is a moving, funny and absurd portrayal of a world where relationship and life pressures get mixed up with the competitive logic of the game: lyrical cadences meet Candy Crush!
