With Síomha Brock (voice, guitar), Martin Atkinson Borrull (keyboard), Dermot Sheedy (bodhrán)
Born in County Clare into a family of trad musicians, Síomha (pronounced "She-vah") discovered jazz in her teens, in France, with an Italian gypsy who taught her gypsy guitar. She then travelled to the United States, Canada and Mexico. Emanating from these Irish and international influences, her music moves effortlessly between folk, jazz and neo-soul, taking her audience on an unexpected and unforgettable journey. Her debut recording, Infinite Space (2022), described by the press as a 'masterful and highly successful debut', brings together soulful and velvety original songs in Irish and English. For Jazzycolors, the graceful voice of the guitar-playing Síomha is accompanied by keyboards and bodhrán, in the beautiful setting of the chapel.
Slovakian duo Lash & Grey also play in the CCI chapel on 30 November as part of Jazzycolors. All the programme details for the 21st edition of the international jazz festival Jazzycolors (2 Nov-2 Dec) organized by FICEP (International Forum of Foreign Institutes): www.ficep.info
