Ryan Molloy, Fergal Scahill & Sylvain Barou

Pianist Ryan Molloy is Gradam Ceoil TG4's 2024 Composer of the Year, no less, and has played with the likes of Neil Martin, Bríd Harper, and Iarla O Lionáird. His first solo album pianophony was received with great critical success in 2019 and testified to his masterful ability to meld traditional and classical melodies.

On residency here at the CCI, he has invited his long-time friend fiddler Fergal Scahill to join him this evening, having recorded three critically acclaimed albums together. This concert sees the first outing of their much-awaited recording ‘The Gannet’s Dive’ and a special collaboration with Breton flautist Sylvain Barou.
