Résidence de Traduction 2025-2026 : Laetitia Devaux

The Centre Culturel Irlandais is delighted to welcome Laetitia Devaux for a 6-month translation residency funded by the Conseil Régional d’Île-de-France.

Renowned for her French translations of works by Sally Rooney, Sebastian Barry and Eimear McBride, Laetitia will lead translation workshops and public events during her residency, in collaboration with several schools and the Bibliothèque Publique d'Information du Centre Pompidou. In parallel with these outreach activities, Laetitia Devaux will carry out both a translation project and a personal writing project.

This residency is a unique opportunity for students and the general public to discover the living practice of literary translation while exploring the richness of contemporary Irish literature.
