Irish composer and pianist Simon Mawhinney returns to Centre Culturel Irlandais with a performance of his latest composition, Transitional Objects.
The work develops Mawhinney's interest in colour and the perception of time, exploring delicacy, musical memory and hypnotic cantillation. Simon Mawhinney was born in Co. Down in Northern Ireland; he is Head of Music at Queen's University Belfast.
