Timothy Cape

Timothy Cape is a composer who combines music, performance, media and text to create visceral music-theatre works, often engaging with contemporary political issues in unusual and playful ways. He has recently collaborated with groups such as Ensemble Garage and Hermes Experiment, and had his first opera Still Drowsy commissioned by the Venice Music Biennale in 2022. He is a member of the British composer group Bastard Assignments. During his residency at CCI he will work on a new piece for Paris-based group Soundinitiative as well as a solo work for British-Pakistani soprano Mimi Doulton.
