Susan Mannion

Visual artist, Susan Mannion, specialises in wood engraving printmaking, but also works with enamel on steel and copper. Her work is abstracted from and influenced by an emotional connection to the environment and her interest in the built heritage, especially medieval architecture. Susan has exhibited work in many countries and her award-winning work is held in private and national collections.
Susan’s residency in Paris will allow her to visit the collections of the Parisian galleries to study their woodcut and wood engraving prints and learn about French wood engraving artists. She will have time and space to develop her wood engraving practice to create a new body of work.
