Ryan Molloy

A pianist and composer, Ryan Molloy is Associate Professor of Composition at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. Recipient of the TG4 Gradam Ceoil Composer of the Year in 2024, Ryan is in great demand as an accompanist, having recorded over thirty albums and worked with household names of traditional Irish music including Fergal Scahill, Neil Martin, Bríd Harper, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Seán Óg Graham, Paddy Glackin & Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh. In 2019, Ryan released his first solo album pianophony to great critical acclaim. Ryan will use his time in the CCI to compose, develop and rehearse new material for a second volume of pianophony.
