Rafaela Jacinto Portugal theatremaker

Rafaela Jacinto (Rafa) is a Portuguese non-binary writer and theatre-maker. They graduated in theatre (acting branch) at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School and studied Documentary Film; have collaborated with national and international theatre companies, as well as writers and filmmakers; and written the following books: A música está na minha cabeça (2023), Fiz uma coisa má (2021) and Regime (2020). They also host MESCLA - the podcast of Porto City Theatre (TMP), DDD - Festival Dias da Dança (Dance Days Festival) and CAMPUS Paulo Cunha e Silva. Their work is mostly autobiographical; Charlotte F̶o̶r̶e̶v̶e̶r̶ (2023) was their most recent performance and during this residency they will work on Paris Syndrome, an original comedy based on the hits of French cinema and obscure European ideals.
