Mícheál McCann

Mícheál McCann is a poet and editor from Derry, Ireland. His first collection, Devotion, was published in 2024 by The Gallery Press and was Highly Commended in the Forward Poetry Prizes 2024. His poems have appeared in in The Poetry Review, Poetry Ireland Review, The Manchester Review, Banshee Lit, RTÉ, BBC, and have been anthologised in Queering the Green (Lifeboat Press, 2021) and Romance Options: Love Poetry for Today (Dedalus Press, 2023). He works as a teacher and lives in Belfast with his partner.

At the CCI, he will work on his second collection of poems, as well as a slightly elusive lyric-essay inventory on the home.
