Luca Truffarelli

Luca Truffarelli is a freelance photographer and video maker who has started experimenting in the field of visual arts and sound/set design for contemporary dance and theatre. Most recently, he has worked in this domain with Oona Doherty/OD Works, Philip Connaughton Dance, Liz Roche Company, Junk Ensemble, Emma Martin/United Fall, Catherine Young Dance, Thibaut Eiferman/ENTITY (Paris), NYDC Sadler’s Wells (London). His award-winning film projects include two with director Cara Holmes - Notes from Sheepland (2023) and Welcome to a Bright White Limbo (2020). His residency is devoted to making a dream come true: his first solo dance piece as creator and director, The Weight, will be performed in the CCI courtyard on 26 September with the orchestra completely surrounding performer Erin O'Reilly.
