John McLachlan

John McLachlan is an established composer whose music has been performed in 24 countries and widely broadcast. An album of six works, entitled First, was released on Farpoint Recordings in 2021. His current interests include working with spoken texts and fixed electronic media. John is a member of Aosdana, Ireland's state-sponsored academy for the creative arts.

While at the CCI, John intends to create a 20 to 40-minute fixed media audio work based on sounds gathered from the city, including music and spoken words, and conduct research on the poetry and sound-poetry of the post-war Lettriste movement.
