Farah Elle

A musician, singer and songwriter, Farah Elle is animated by her two heritages - of Libyan, Islamic roots she was raised in an Irish, Catholic landscape. Both Ireland and Libya were colonised. Her aim while in residency at the CCI in France is to interrogate what it means to live in a country with a colonial past, exploring themes of power, defeat, belonging and acceptance. In an attempt to "nurse the generational wound of being divided and conquered", she will devise a stage piece that addresses the decolonization of identity through music.
