Ireland's Cultural Flagship in Europe, the Centre Culturel Irlandais, launches its ambitious strategic plan for the next five years focusing on investing in the future, enriching the artistic programme, and further strengthening the engagement of the CCI.

Following President Emmanuel Macron's State visit to Ireland on 26 August 2021, the French and Irish Governments welcomed the capital development plan for the Centre Culturel Irlandais as part of a Joint Plan of Action signed by both countries.

“We welcome the CCI’s ambitious Strategic Plan for the next five years, as well as its ongoing work with Ireland’s Office of Public Works on a capital development plan to renovate and further enhance this unique Irish cultural space in France,” the two Governments announced in their Joint Plan of Action. 

In the lead-up to what will be CCI’s 20th year in existence, Joint Government plans were unveiled for the centenary of the publication, in Paris, of James Joyce’s Ulysses – including CCI’s 5-month Joyce Season - as well as new Eileen Gray and Tomi Ungerer fellowships which include residencies at CCI.
