Grafton Architects was established in 1978 and since then directors Yvonne Farrell & Shelley McNamara have turned it into one of the most sought-after architectural practices in the world. They have just won the prestigious 2020 Royal Institute of British Architects Gold Medal. Both directors are also professors and Fellows of the RIAI, International Honorary Fellows of RIBA and elected members of Aosdána. Grafton Architects have represented Ireland at the Venice Biennale which they curated in 2018. This evening, Shelley McNamara will present forty years of their architectural practice and engagement as well as their singular approach to each project.
