For Nuit de la littérature’s sixth literary festival set in our very own 5th arrondissement, CCI has invited novelist Claire Kilroy to represent Ireland and read from her latest work The Devil I Know (2012). Set during the post-Celtic Tiger economic crisis, this allegory of Ireland's property boom is “a satiric danse macabre of brio and linguistic virtuosity” (The Guardian). Marc Roger will lend his voice to the French translation, Affaires et damnation, published in 2014 by éditions Buchet-Chastel.
Nuit de la littérature is organised by the Forum des Instituts Culturels Etrangers à Paris; for full details of the night’s programme of readings: www.ficep.info
