For this special on-line edition of Nuit de la littérature, FICEP is broadcasting readings from the work of fourteen writers of different nationalities. CCI is delighted to be taking part in this virtual literary rendez-vous with a reading from Emilie Pine's highly successful first book Notes to Self. This courageous collection of essays explores alcoholism, mental illness, rape and infertility with both honesty and humour.
Every 20 minutes, from 6pm to 11pm, a new video will be posted on FICEP's website following this format: a 10 to 15-minute reading in French by an actor, translator or author followed, in some cases, by a short reading from the original version of the book and then 5 minutes of Q+A with the author.
For CCI's participation, to be broadcasted from 8.20pm, Franco-Irish actor Kelly Rivière will read from the French version of Emilie Pine's book, Notes à usage personnel, published last Autumn by Editions Delcourt; Emilie Pine will then respond to questions in English.
So don't miss this wonderful opportunity to travel around fourteen different countries from your armchair by 'tuning in' to www.ficep.info on Saturday 30 May as from 6pm. Check out the full programme on the the FICEP website now!
