John Boyne’s 2006 novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas spent more than eighty weeks at no.1 in Ireland and topped the New York Times Bestseller List. It has been translated into more than forty languages and was made into a major film in 2008. Born in Dublin, John Boyne studied English Literature at Trinity College and creative writing at the University of East Anglia. He has published six other novels and a number of short stories.
