The Gaulín Club is a meeting place and platform for people who enjoy singing and listening to traditional song. While Club members are welcome to sing, they are also welcome to just listen. While there will be an emphasis on Irish song, any traditional song is valued. Each month sees a new guest traditional singer play ‘fear a’ ti’ (host).
Irish audiences are completely taken by Karen, Lorna and Joleen McLaughlin’s graceful harmonies and they have now toured all over the U.K. and U.S. Following their concert at CCI on St Patrick’s night, they will lead this Gaulín club with songs from their home county of Donegal interwoven with a variety of influences.
'Terrific voices, great harmonies. Classic Northern Ireland noir'
Mike Harding, BBC radio 2
'The Henry Girls’ ability to draw influences from such a broad spectrum of styles whilst still remaining rooted in their own sound is a joy to behold, all the while lifting each song with their glorious and crystal-clear vocal harmonies.'
Fortitude Magazine (UK)
'Latest album “Louder Than Words” is a harmony-laden delight from beginning to end.'
