John McSherry (uilleann pipes, whistles), Dónal O’Connor (fiddle, keyboards), Francis McIlduff (bodhrán, uilleann pipes, low whistles) et Ciara McCrickard (voice, fiddle), Paul Meehan (guitar, bouzouki)
Spearheaded by musicians who represent three of the most prominent families in Ulster traditional music circles, At First Light is a group at once rich in tradition and keen to carry the music forward. There’s real joy in their playing of fiddles, whistles and duelling uilleann pipes, and a certain roguish swagger that transmits their enthusiasm for the music directly to the listener. Each member of the group has influenced Celtic folk music, from featuring on Grammy-award winning recordings to collaborating live with the world’s greatest folk and contemporary artists such as Clannad, Dónal Lunny, Moya Brennan, The Corrs and Sinéad O'Connor.
