The Lachrimae Consort will transport you with music of the baroque performed by a talented trio comprising a harpsichordist, a viola da gamba player and a soprano whose repertoire includes Irish baroque pieces.
Harpsichordist Emer Buckley was born in Dublin where she studied piano and graduated with a Master of Arts in music. She now lives in Paris and regularly plays in festivals both in Europe and the United States. Philippe Foulon has played the viola da gamba as a soloist in all the greatest concert halls and festivals in France and in Europe. In 1995, he founded the Lachrimae Consort, an ensemble who performs the viola da gamba repertoire from the Renaissance up to that of the late 18th century. Catherine Padaut, soprano, is from Marseille and has been the guest soloist of the Bach Academy in Switzerland for two years.
