With Paddy Moloney (uilleann pipes, tin whistle), John Montague (voice), Triona Marshall (harp)
For anyone who loves traditional Irish music and poetry, this is an evening not to be missed. Paddy Moloney of The Chieftains and John Montague, celebrated Irish poet, will present their artistic collaboration to the French public for the first time here at the CCI. Released in 2011, their album of poetry and Irish music, “The Wild Dog Rose”, was a long time coming - something both men had discussed as far back as the 1960s. The powerful combination of Moloney’s uilleann pipes and tin whistle with Montague’s sonorous voice reciting his own poems create an atmosphere that will bring the audience back to the shores of Ireland. This evening will also feature Triona Marshall performing on her delicate and expressive Irish harp.
“Irresistible. The poet of loss and love consoled by the minstrel of delight.”
